Substation Low Voltage Renovation

The project was awarded to Emta Inc. As a design – build type package and the design portition of the work was subcontracted to Altan Ltd. Co The aim of the project is to conduct a renovation to replace irreparable and outdated low voltage electrical systems and other substation building components that are no longer functional. Therefore a technical team of Altan, consisting of 3 electrical engineers, 1 structural engineer and 3 surveyors, conducted site investigations for a period of 3 weeks. During the site investigations totally 36 buildings were surveyed, existing substation low voltage cabinets, capacitor cabinets, bus tie switches, circuit breakers, transformers, standby generators, building features were assessed as well as the battle damages in buildings which included hardened bunkers. The new design is being generated according to the present needs of the user and latest US regulations, criteria’s and codes.
