The intent of the project is to provide Architect-Engineering services to construct/install 154/10kV new main electrical transformer substation (TS) on Incirlik Air Base (IAB) including overhead energy transmission line (OETL), connection to off-base (154kV) and on-base (10kV) grids complete with civil-structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
The previous Charrette Report of the project provided all necessary information for the connection of available off-base capacity for 50MVA, 154kV connection to base. Intensive coordination is made with Incirlik Air Base, USAF, TEIAS authorities in Adana, TEIAS General Directorate in Ankara, Host Nation personnel, site tenant representatives to obtain specific information regarding the location of the project site, and any known site constraints and/or pre- existing conditions that could have an impact on design and construction of the proposed project. Therefore, necessary coordination is made with Local Municipality of Saricam, Municipality of Greater City of Adana, Directorate of Agriculture of Adana, Directorate of Cultural Affairs and Land Registry and Cadaster Office of Adana and their preliminary approvals were taken for the connection point to the existing 154kV Cihadiye – Incirlik overhead transmission line as well as the route of the power line from the connection point to the perimeter of Incirlik A.B. The project consists of the design of new overhead power transmission lines, a switch yard, a reinforced concrete two story 2000 m2 control building and design of underground power transmission lines from the new installation to existing Building No. 3610
