Consolidated Community Center

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The aim of the project was to provide multi disciplined A-E services for the U.S Army Corps of engineers in the preparation of criteria package for the design-built solicitation for the FY 2010 Milcon project “Consolidated Community Center, Incirlik A.B, Adana/Turkey”. The work covered the preparation of concept design drawings, performance specifications and preliminary design reports including preliminary calculations. The completed design build criteria package resulted in the construction of an approximately 4000m² building that accommodates the Community Activity Center, Base Theater, Education Center, Base Library and supporting technical spaces. The building consists of reinforced concrete foundations, exterior and interior shear walls, columns, beams, floor slabs, drywall or concrete block masonry partition walls and roofing systems that will consist of built-up roofing system on reinforced concrete slabs and sandwich type insulated roofing panels installed on steel trusses.
